Well, we did it again. We tried to take Sam out to eat. Yes he tried to sit on top of the table, climb out of his chair, he screamed and he cried. Tom felt like screaming and crying :). But he held it together. And he is Tom :). Sam got saved by grandma, she took him outside to sit.
tom says it is the last time we go out for a while. Any advice?
God created boys, full of spirit and fun.
To explore and conquer, to romp and run.
With dirty faces and banged up chins.
With courageous hearts and boyish grins.

Slip and Slide
It is lunch time and I can not convince Evan or my 2 nieces to come in and eat. My sweet Tom has made them a HUGE slip and slide out of black construction plastic. Then to make it even more fun they have a bottle of baby soap and are rubbing there bellies down with it before slide.
Summer days are priceless! Hereing them laugh and play.....well makes me feel like my mom! To feel the joy that she felt when she heard us all playing and laughing makes my heart glow! It's weird that I can just be in a moment and know that, that's something she has felt this same love, joy, and happiness for me!

Ma's Purse (funny story)
When my great, great grandma, better known as Ma, died my mom got her purse. In her purse were LOTS of little things. Her favorite pen, her glasses, a few receipts, a news paper clipping, some clip on earrings, lots of things. The most unique thing in there was her false teeth. Yes, I said her false teeth. A couple were gold plated and there are a ton of yucky snuff around the edges. And yes my mom still has them. Everything is still placed neatly in Ma's purse. Sometimes we will take out Ma's purse and go through everything just to reminisce. One day my mom brought the purse out to show Evan Ma's stuff. Mom took everything out very slow and explained in detail what each item was and why it was special. When she got to the teeth Evan was totally shocked! This was the first time he had ever seen false teeth. He looked very close and examined them. We discussed the snuff and the gold. Then out of the blue as serious as he could be he asked "Where's the tongue?". My mom and I about wet all over our self! The funniest things that come out of his mouth make me laugh for days!

Wonderful Rain!
This morning I woke up with LOTS to do. Loads and Loads of laundry, sheets to change, baths for the 6 crabs, change 2 fish bowls, and clean out a frog aquarium. Evan is working on learning how to care for the pets but, for now like most moms I have gotten stuck with the pets. As the day went on Sam began to get VERY fussy with those top teeth, that are taking there sweet time coming in, and Evan was in a deep stage of boredom. So I think "I need a few groceries so we will get out of the house and have a change of scenery for a while". I didn't realize that we were going to get in a monsoon of rain. We rode to Bi-Lo very slow in hopes that it would be done raining before I drug two kids through the parking lot. As I got closer it began to clear up...ahhhhh now this is better. We walk through the parking lot, jump in a few puddles and get into the store.
After Evan tried to put everything into the buggy we finally make it to the register. I pay and then head out the door only to see it's raining so hard that the parking lot looks like a lake. I stand there for a second waiting and trying to gear myself up for a wet run through a parking lot with a 7 year old and a 10 month old. Some old man offers to stand with the kids while I go get the car but, I don't know this man from Adam so I thank him kindly and take off. I tell Evan to hold the buggy and stay with me. We take off!!! I look down at Evan and Sam to make sure they are ok. And let me tell you the smile on Evan's face was priceless! It's like I froze in time and in all that rain was the biggest sunny smile I had ever seen! Evan was sooooo glad to be running in the rain. Seeing his smile reminded me of being young again and how much my brothers and I loved running through the rain. I sure didn't expect that I would be running through the rain this morning but I tell you It was the biggest blessing of the week! Thank you God for these little blessing that are unexpected and not planned :)!
